Speaker 1:

This is the fantasy football dudes podcast.

Speaker 3:

What is up, my dudes? This is Trent with the fantasy football dudes podcast. We got a nice little draft here today. I am joined by Phil Jordan and Seth and Phil, what was it you said? Today's draft is football drip, football drip.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, football drip draft accessories Sky's the limit, sky's the limit.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, like like intimidation tactics that you could wear. Yes, sure.

Speaker 2:

Try to look as cool as possible.

Speaker 4:

Try to look as cool and or as tough as possible. Yeah.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, All right. So before we get into the day's draft, we are going to recap last week's draft. We're just to say who won. If you want to see that draft or draft, you go check it out. Jordan had a whopping first place. How many percent of the votes? Jordan?

Speaker 5:

Like 65 percent 65 percent.

Speaker 3:

Then went to Seth Me and Phil both tied with 5 percent of the votes. It was rough. Me and Phil flipped a coin. Here I am drafting third.

Speaker 2:

Phil is drafting last, Let me say this though Jordan's mom told me that she voted for me If she would have vote. That hurts.

Speaker 5:

If you have brownies on there, yeah, I'm too dessert, yeah, ok.

Speaker 3:

So let's get to the draft here then, before we get into the film, please, please. I'm not, I'm not. Actually, I normally am the first one who wants to sing, but he's humming. Today's draft is brought to you by sleeper. Sleeper is the absolute best place to play fancy football in its draft season, and you need, you should know now sleeper is the best place for all things fancy football. So introduce 100. They will match you up to $100. Guys, you got play in game contest. Dynamic payouts are live. It's just a really good place, guys. So go ahead. Dudes 100. They will match up to $100. Let's hop in to this football drip, football swag draft. Jordan, you're number one on the draft board here, so what are you taking here?

Speaker 5:

I'm going back and forth between two. There's a lot of good ways you can go and I'm going to take the safe pick. I'm going to go with gloves.

Speaker 3:

OK, and and while we're to be fair here, guys, football helmets are not allowed. Yeah, cleats are not allowed.

Speaker 4:

Is there anything else not allowed?

Speaker 3:

That's it, that's it. Like you can't say, could you say a football? I think that'd be kind of lame.

Speaker 4:

Yes, you can't say OK, so no football. We're not going to say nerf football yeah.

Speaker 3:

No football, no helmets, but that's a great pick, Jordan.

Speaker 4:

is there a year or an era which you like the gloves best?

Speaker 2:

Hmm, like what I mean? I don't guess. Based on look you could say your favorite one, but gloves is a great pick.

Speaker 5:

I think it's cool when they like custom like I guess the cleats customized cool to be like, like when they just all kind of like crazy colors and like they kind of customize it like you can put your hands.

Speaker 4:

Yes, yeah, yep, that's that, I think.

Speaker 2:

I think a cool one like Tyree kill has like the peace sign one. So remember you got fine for doing the peace sign, so he has gloves, yeah it has the peace sign on it, so you just go like that and it has the peace sign on the gloves.

Speaker 3:

So I was listening to Travis Kelsey. He was talking about gloves and he said what makes him mad is every time teams play the chiefs, they wear red gloves if the chiefs are home. And he said it's because they can hold and the ref can't see it as good because it blends in with the jerseys. But he was like saying yeah, that's like if you're the raiders, you shouldn't be allowed to wear red gloves.

Speaker 2:

I don't think I don't think I saw that. I don't know, I don't think raiders can do that.

Speaker 3:

He said guys do that to him a lot when they play the chiefs don't play red.

Speaker 2:

Well, I think a lot of teams just have red, so it kind of helps, right?

Speaker 4:

These were these were by far the best football gloves out there, do you remember?

Speaker 3:

those. Is that then? No, see, I was a cutters guy, those are so stupid.

Speaker 4:

Cutters were the best. No, cutters, cutters. You're not getting any drip Cutters. They look like basically a work glove with like plastic on them.

Speaker 5:

They're effective.

Speaker 1:

They're effective. You're going to work.

Speaker 2:

You're going to work?

Speaker 4:

Yeah, but the Nike, nike ones that had, like the black and white ones, the these are talking about some old gloves that no one cares about. They're not. Are you kidding me? Yeah, they're like a lot more poppin. Have you seen these joker gloves? Oh there's, I haven't seen the.

Speaker 2:

No, the phenom ones are just dumb Like those are dumb.

Speaker 3:

Oh yeah, when you put your hands together.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, joe apparently Seth is the queen of fashion over here. No.

Speaker 2:

Travis Kelsey, has he always matched them with his cleats Like have you seen the ones where? He wears the camo cleats, like he has the the camo gloves with the chiefs colors mixed into the I feel like that's really cool, is it?

Speaker 4:

these stuff right here?

Speaker 3:

I feel like you're going to drop your computer every time you pick it up. You're just not like very sweet.

Speaker 5:

These are pretty sweet. And has red, red Jordan gloves. Yeah, Jordan gloves are pretty cool, these ones right here.

Speaker 4:

Seth are different.

Speaker 2:

I can't get behind. Yeah, but they're like that, but they have chiefs colors mixed into. I can't get behind the Jordan football brand.

Speaker 3:

I know it's getting more and more popular, but I think they came out with cleats recently and they're really cool.

Speaker 2:

They've had them. They've had them.

Speaker 3:

They've had those since I was in high school and I remember one kid had them I was with a new line where it's like way more colors and like they actually are throwing a lot of stock.

Speaker 4:

So they're pretty sweet, though I like them.

Speaker 3:

I always was a cutters guy. They had just enough padding and they weren't over padded.

Speaker 4:

Oh, did you have the cut fingered ones.

Speaker 3:

I did it. I did the cut finger ones one time and I didn't like it. One time I had my finger get stuck between my face mask and someone else's face mask. It's like, okay, I'm not wearing fingerless ever again. That ever happened to you.

Speaker 4:

No, I always had. I always had them covered.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, so yeah, I think football gloves is a great pick right there, seth or Jordan. So, seth, you're on the clock. Does anyone else want to say anything about football gloves?

Speaker 2:

No, I think I. The customization is like that wasn't there when.

Speaker 3:

I was in high school you couldn't customize Like you can actually go on Nike and kind of basically customize your whole club.

Speaker 2:

You can get the Nike. You can't even do that. I think, like all the NFL players have these brand deals to, where they basically work with a Nike designer and get all the exact stuff they want, like Devonte Adams has that.

Speaker 4:

Well, there are. I imagine Justin Jefferson does too.

Speaker 2:

Well, but he does with Under Armour.

Speaker 3:

I believe. I think, there's guys that will paint them though, because a lot of those custom cleats like they can get you can get it.

Speaker 2:

There's a guy who does, but the guys who have brand deals like can't do that with random artists, they have to do them through the company. So, like, like, devonte Adams has a bunch of different Jordan cleats but it's all like designed by Jordan, a designer who works for Jordan. All right.

Speaker 3:

So, seth, what do you take in here?

Speaker 2:

I'm going to go visor visor.

Speaker 5:

I think that's what I was debating between those visor gloves.

Speaker 4:

So, did, did go ahead Seth.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I mean like there's a tent, there's different colors, there's clear. They even have that pink one. Now that became pretty popular. Like I never wore visor, I didn't like them, like they, just they got dirty and I didn't like. I feeling they look cool but I never really wonder where one certain positions I think are.

Speaker 5:

they look cooler. I got any running backs the visor running back to visor.

Speaker 3:

If you're a mouth breather, it simply does not work. Who's the first?

Speaker 4:

person you remember wearing a visor. You may have someone different, ricky Williams.

Speaker 2:

No that's a good one, though I think it's one of the guys that really stands out who wears visors either Cam Chancellor or like because he wears the all black one.

Speaker 1:

I know what you're talking about.

Speaker 2:

Or like. I think a Zeke, sometimes like Zeke with his different visors, is really cool.

Speaker 4:

How about Lydani and Tomlinson? He's the first person who I was like. That person rocks the visor, cool.

Speaker 2:

I think clear visors are cool but like the colored visors are awesome, Like he had, he had a red team and you have like an all red visor.

Speaker 3:

Like that's so cool. Well, Ricky Williams visor was the like reflector and you couldn't see what he was looking at.

Speaker 4:

That was well, I just remember we used to, we used to think that Lydani and Tomlinson, like, because he had the black one Remember you couldn't have like the, the tinted ones he like had like a doctor's note that said he got headaches from the light.

Speaker 2:

Well, I think you can, I think you can wear tinted ones.

Speaker 3:

Well, no, I know you can In the NFL. I think you can. I don't think high school, because high school it has to.

Speaker 4:

you can only have clear because they have to be able to see your eyes if you get hard or whatever.

Speaker 3:

They kind of have those pink ones though. Right Are those. Those are fine, the pink ones are fine, that's really weird.

Speaker 4:

I don't think I'd ever read, but the pink ones are necessarily for anything else.

Speaker 2:

That I think it's supposed to be like for some color thing to help your eyes, yeah.

Speaker 3:

And what kind of visor like I think you got to go Oakley.

Speaker 2:

I mean, I think a lot of different, like guys make good ones.

Speaker 1:

But I think Oakley's got the.

Speaker 2:

Oakley was like the original one.

Speaker 4:

They're the OG but like now.

Speaker 2:

Nike has a, but under armor has them.

Speaker 4:

I think I would agree with you, though Trent Oakley was like Oakley has the best ones.

Speaker 3:

One visor. All right, I'm up right here. There's a couple of ways I want to go here, can I?

Speaker 4:

mean there's something that I want to add to this, but we can add it maybe later rounds. I'm going to say I black Okay.

Speaker 2:

I black that actually I think has become more popular recently. I think it kind of died and then I feel like I didn't hear in two years ago I saw it just explode again.

Speaker 4:

It was because Aiden Hutchson would do the the.

Speaker 2:

I think that was dumb, the one I won.

Speaker 3:

Well, remember the guys would do the eye black strips and they'd write, like you know, their area code, or like Tim Tebow Did the Bible verses and I don't think you can write me.

Speaker 4:

Reggie Bush was like six one nine, six one, nine yeah yeah.

Speaker 3:

So there's all that like but I blacks cool and you can do anything with I black.

Speaker 2:

I think the cooler ones is when, like the guys, the all, both of his cheeks are just covered in it.

Speaker 5:

I don't like that at all. I think it's so cool. I don't know you're like that's intimidation right there, like if you sit.

Speaker 2:

More in high school football, where it's like a guy's whole face is like covered in eye black. He's just some huge linebacker like that. Guy's scary.

Speaker 3:

So so, phil, you, you did like the strips, or you did the eye black.

Speaker 4:

I would do both. Okay, I told Brady always had class that dude always His eye black is more like makeup than eye block. This is to be honest. It was more like a makeup than eye black, but he always repped it Well, like it was like perfectly lined like Story about eye black.

Speaker 3:

We're playing JV football and his senior year, software year. I'm with Phil's brother he's do. No, it wasn't Phil's brother. Your brother was definitely there, but I think it was a buddy named Tyler, though. But this one guy wanted some eye black on and he he put one underneath and then he straight you to brow them and it was so messed up and it's like my brother didn't know no no, your brother was there. I don't think your brother. I'm pretty sure Tyler was the guy who did it.

Speaker 4:

Oh, did it to the other guy did it to the guy straight straight you to brought him right before a game.

Speaker 3:

I'm just like you have to like scrub and you know our coach is like get out of the walk room, it's time to play. It was so bad. You know, like right before like warm-ups, like a guy, just get straight.

Speaker 4:

You need with eye black and you know he was trying to wipe it off.

Speaker 3:

Oh yeah, yeah, it's like you have to like scrub that stuff. You know what I mean.

Speaker 4:

And if that stuff gets in your eye it's the worst.

Speaker 3:

Oh, it's the worst. So yeah, I think eye black very versatile. You can do it different, phil. I could see you doing like cat whiskers or something I don't know. There's a lot of different ways you could do it. Some guys do cross bus stuff guys just do a bit, but yeah, I black's great.

Speaker 4:

Hard to beat, so you should be able to wear it and like pickleball. I don't know why they don't allow.

Speaker 3:

More sports. You know what I'm saying. Why can't you wear it? And pickleball, who said that? Right, you're right, you can but why would you make up? Why would you lie like, why don't basketball players wear it Jordan? I think it's cool.

Speaker 5:

I don't know, just because they play indoors and play indoors, like you can see people's faces too. Like that's yeah, like you don't like I mean, it's kind of dumb if you're wearing like.

Speaker 2:

Maybe it'll become a thing, yeah start it off.

Speaker 3:

All right, phil, I got a good transition for when you pick cup right here. What do you have?

Speaker 4:

Are you gonna hold this or not? Face cup Are you gonna say it or not?

Speaker 3:

speaking of cups, the modern man's a man who takes care of himself. Manscaping is just for life, special occasions. It's a requirement for optimal health and superior hygiene and healthy self-esteem. You know of the right tools for a safe and precise grooming and hard to navigate sensitive areas. Guys, we've been sponsored by man's keep for a while now. They make great products, great partners. Go ahead and introduce 20, 20% of your holder. We got the boxers 2.0. Maybe you need the lawnmower, all that stuff, you know, maybe you're yeah, never mind, I'm not gonna go there, but go to manscapecom dudes. 20 really helps us out. Get 20% off your old order, or don't be rude. Share the dudes. If you like this draft, share it with a friend, you know. So, phil, what do you got here with your last pick?

Speaker 4:

I want to say, like that, one of the first things, like one of the first things where I'm like, oh man, this is like there's some cooler drip out there. When I was in junior college. So you know, when you wear the sliders or you put your your thigh pads in your and like girdles, they're yeah, girdles or sliders, whatever you call them.

Speaker 3:

Well, in junior, no one calls them sliders. That's like a softball term.

Speaker 4:

I think they call people, call them likes.

Speaker 2:

I think it's more like a baseball one.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, there's, yeah, sliding pants for it's shocking that your mind goes to softball. First you played slow pitch for two years strand, like anyhow, sliding shorts, that that's like something like okay, just go. I did it ever. I've never wear sliding shorts.

Speaker 4:

Anyhow, the the dudes in junior college did this and I was like, ah, this is kind of a job. So, then I started doing it. You flip your, you flip your your sliding shorts inside out and then you put your gloves in that, in the, in the thigh pad pockets. You know what I'm saying quit calling them sliding shorts to girdle, no, so then you just rep them. Then you just like you hit you on your pocket, you want your gloves, pull them out of your little thigh pads.

Speaker 3:

So wait, so you're going with girdle in the first round.

Speaker 5:

So what's your pick?

Speaker 4:

Go ahead sets. That has a question.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, what's your pick oh. I'm just saying, that's like you put your pants on backwards so you can put your gloves inside out.

Speaker 1:

Phil, that's for a tail inside he puts his, he will do that now. So Phil's drip guys is inside out pants. That's what I'm taking.

Speaker 4:

This is what I'm taking Grill.

Speaker 3:

What.

Speaker 4:

Grill.

Speaker 2:

Wait. Why'd you wait? How'd you segment, How'd you? Why'd you even say anything about this?

Speaker 4:

I think it's a girl no, nothing is better Is that when you hit it, when you get a touchdown, and then you go up to the camera and you're just grilled out.

Speaker 5:

This is a horrible pick. No, it is not, yes, it is.

Speaker 4:

No, how many people do you know who have grills?

Speaker 5:

What football players have them like? Tyree, kill who else exactly like you.

Speaker 4:

Justin Jefferson.

Speaker 3:

Thank you you could have got this in the last round. Possibly waiver wire.

Speaker 4:

Not a good pick no girl, people are gonna go. People are gonna love the grill. Pick like grill is probably one of the like. In like the mid 2000s they got really popular and people would be repping grills all the time.

Speaker 5:

Oh, it's 2023, Not the mid. Yeah, I think we'll still do it.

Speaker 2:

No, they still wear them because they ice them out.

Speaker 5:

They just in, jefferson. Yes, yes.

Speaker 4:

You guys are underestimating the power of the grill.

Speaker 5:

Okay, well, I think you're over.

Speaker 3:

you're underestimating the demographics of who votes on these these if you were talking about a barbecue grill, you would get more votes. So, recapping first round. We're going for three rounds Jordan took gloves, seth took visor, I took eye black filter grill and he had a weird transition about softball pants. It was really weird.

Speaker 4:

No, it's just like you, don't you like people. You come up with good ideas on like how you can act, like you have a little bit of swag. That's all I'm saying.

Speaker 3:

I feel like I played in the caveman days because, like we just got like good girls, like under armor was at its peak back.

Speaker 4:

That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 3:

That's like you could put your pads in. Now. They have these girdles that like have all the pads already in them and they're great.

Speaker 2:

The thing is they actually gone away from that now, really why? They just, I think, like all these different, like high-end sports brands, like even in high school, like the kids are just getting really good pants to where you can just slip in, like, and they're making these pads. Like thigh pads are Made smaller now. They're not like foam ones.

Speaker 1:

They're like smaller plastic ones.

Speaker 2:

So they're like making better Just equipment over also knowing where's like like Girdles. Now they just get the small pads and put them in, so what?

Speaker 3:

I did, is I got my? I?

Speaker 2:

got my pants, or so your hip pad and I had the circle on the bottom.

Speaker 3:

I cut the circle off and used it for knee pads.

Speaker 4:

Did you get a new hip pad?

Speaker 3:

No, I just had a hip pad.

Speaker 4:

Oh my, but linemen don't get hit in the hip.

Speaker 3:

So like a running back. You need pads more like that.

Speaker 4:

How about when the those thigh pads back in, like the mid 2000? They would go literally from your hip to your knee.

Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah, you're so. Yeah, I could run like yeah, they were so bad. But yeah, see these new girdles. You don't have those problems anymore, Phil. But Jordan, what do you got here? What are you taking here?

Speaker 5:

I'm going to take a strap, oh crazy.

Speaker 3:

Oh, thanks, sam, You're welcome.

Speaker 5:

Oke, and thank you guys too. I love you, jamiesim. No, I'm gonna take the turf tape.

Speaker 3:

That's not bad. That's not bad.

Speaker 5:

The tape all down the arms, and they can kind of customize it a little bit.

Speaker 2:

I think Alvin Kamara made that one big. Yep, you're right, I know it was before Alvin Kamara, guys. No, but he made it big. He made it big.

Speaker 3:

Guys, have you put like turf?

Speaker 5:

is big, everyone wears it now.

Speaker 2:

Turf is the absolute worst thing, in the world you look up turf tape. Alvin Kamara is one of the first pro Especially if it's outside and it's hot.

Speaker 3:

No, turf should be banned. It's horrible. It's bad for your joints.

Speaker 4:

The players hate it.

Speaker 3:

Players hate it Turf. You like turf. The first time you hear you're gonna play on it, then you plan it for five seconds and you go oh, this is the absolute worst.

Speaker 4:

It's like playing with on the set.

Speaker 2:

I hated wearing tights and long sleeves, but every time I played on turf, regardless of how hot it was, I had to wear it.

Speaker 3:

And when it's like you got these scrapes on your arms for the rest of the season, my knees and elbows would be destroyed.

Speaker 4:

They're probably still pulling out like pieces of that, tire stuff from my arms, like when you know what I'm saying, like you get that in your eye. Oh, dude, that's what I'm saying. What's going on? Trent Closer, okay, you're trying to try to relax.

Speaker 3:

I'm doing the snuggle, if you will maybe extend it. I think it extends farther. So yeah, turf tapes. Good, I think it's cool. Seth, what are you taking?

Speaker 2:

here I'm going with another arm accessory. Here I'm going with arm sleeves. Dang it.

Speaker 4:

Seth, but single or double. It doesn't matter I mean no, no a lot of people will just rep the single thing about Johnny Manziel. He would only rep one. Well, I think for a quarterback.

Speaker 2:

I think for a quarterback. It makes sense Like they want that.

Speaker 4:

Lots of linebackers do it too. That's true.

Speaker 2:

Lots of lineback. I think like TJ Watt wears one. I mean, I don't know.

Speaker 3:

I prefer the one sleeve. We're not letting him take the one sleeve and you get the right sleeve.

Speaker 4:

But you know what I'm saying, though, seth, for me I'm probably going one sleeve, but I mean, two is fine. Yeah, alan Iverson was the one, I think, even though he's in basketball, he was like, really the first.

Speaker 2:

Basketball is where I'm all the time. Remember the like finger sleeves.

Speaker 3:

He used to wear Jordan. Who Alan Iverson.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, alan Iverson was a weird dude man.

Speaker 4:

Dude, don't hate the player. That's the truth.

Speaker 3:

Jordan, isn't he the truth? There's that, paul Pierce, justin.

Speaker 5:

Jefferson wears one sleeve. Ai is the answer.

Speaker 3:

The answer the answer All right. So sleeves, that's not bad. Seth, that's okay. Are you talking about the sleeves that like had the pad on them so you could give someone like a forearm shiver, or?

Speaker 2:

No, I'm just talking about, like any classic sleeve, but I know a lot of guys like to wear the ones with the elbow ones. I know my brother liked to wear the forearm ones when he was a lineman because he always, you know your forearms could beat up. He was probably not in high school, though right, I think he worn when he was younger.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, because when you're a little guy playing line, those are like the coolest things. And then you look back at photos and you're just like what on earth was I wearing?

Speaker 2:

I think he just started. I think he just started to tape more.

Speaker 3:

You had a guy on your team Phil, who'd wears watch underneath his arm pad, wouldn't you? That's factual.

Speaker 2:

He would check the time during practice.

Speaker 4:

In high school In high school.

Speaker 3:

He'd tell everyone what time it was.

Speaker 2:

He had it underneath and it wasn't like a G-shock, it was like Wasn't there a torture player, this like last year, that was wearing His Apple watch?

Speaker 3:

Yes, the guy on the Ohio state. I was.

Speaker 2:

Georgia.

Speaker 3:

No, I was. Was it Marvin Harrison? It might have been both.

Speaker 4:

Actually, I think there were two guys sent, but it was definitely Ohio state.

Speaker 3:

What if you're going up for a pass and your, your mom starts calling in your wrist starts re-vibrating or whatever.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, the airplane. The only thing they can make connected to your cell phone for is worth.

Speaker 3:

This is connected to my cell phone.

Speaker 5:

No, you can't play a football game with an Apple watch.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I'm sure the red. Yeah, you know how you connect it and unconnect it. You can swipe one time, you can connect it and connect it no, but what's the radius on that? This has a plan, like you could have a plan on your Apple watch.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, I don't think they're allowed. You're not allowed to have cell phone communication.

Speaker 4:

You're not allowed to have an Apple watch while you play football.

Speaker 3:

You shouldn't be allowed to have an Apple watch. What I'm telling you is that ref that's 65 probably doesn't even know what an Apple watch is.

Speaker 4:

I'm honestly shocked that you're caught up on the fact that he can't be connected.

Speaker 3:

It's like, okay. Well, guess what, jordan? My Apple watch is no longer connected on my phone. Now it's connected again. You could literally do it in the huddle.

Speaker 5:

Some people don't have the plan on their Apple watch. Some people use it like as a Bluetooth connected and so it only connects within certain radius.

Speaker 4:

Maybe he had it in his iPad.

Speaker 5:

I would actually assume majority are like that trend.

Speaker 3:

No, I think it is majority. So what's the radius on the Bluetooth that I'm asking? I don't think you should be able to have a watch.

Speaker 1:

No, I'm just asking with the rate, I wonder what the radius is Unless you have an arm pad.

Speaker 5:

If your phone's in your locker room.

Speaker 3:

You know 200 feet of 400 feet away In IEL, though these guys got plans.

Speaker 5:

I don't know, that's the first thing they're doing with their IEL money, but yeah, so I'm going to go with.

Speaker 3:

this is old school trend.

Speaker 4:

It makes me laugh so much that you can remember that guy used to wear his watch underneath.

Speaker 3:

Well, I had a cousin that did the same thing.

Speaker 4:

Yikes.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, but that was in Pop Warner. So you give him a pass. But they don't you know whenever people would talk about you know like coaching issues, you coach them. No, I wasn't on the team, he's my age.

Speaker 5:

No, your cousin used to wear a, that's what he's more.

Speaker 3:

That guy's a legend.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, you want to make fun of Lawrence.

Speaker 3:

Lawrence is a legend man. We'll bring him on this part of them. Light you up like a I don't know Fourth of July. Yeah yeah, arm pad, you know and yeah. So, anyways, we also had a guy in my team that would bring his iPhone to practice and he'd update us on Mondays on the scores. That was kind of cool.

Speaker 4:

He would do like the thing there's lots of weird stuff. There's lots of weird stuff, Like there was a guy where we were running like sprints and he was trying to drink the water from his sweat off his shirt and I was like that is the most disgusting thing.

Speaker 1:

What are you talking about?

Speaker 4:

You just talked about a guy with a watch.

Speaker 3:

Can you make your picture? I'm going to go with Necrol, that's a good one. You know, like I know people don't wear them anymore.

Speaker 1:

But you see the.

Speaker 2:

Necrol you automatically think he's a bad dude.

Speaker 3:

He's making a Vanderesh thing, yeah, yeah, you're right, but you know, but I follow a page on Instagram called Necrols and it just shows pictures of guys with Necrols. That's how cool I think they are. Like it just shows bad dudes from the nineties and eighties wearing Necrols, you know, and sometimes they have the cut off Do those actually help.

Speaker 4:

I don't know if they really, I think the only thing that they would do is remind you to keep your head up when you're tackling, like you can remember to like it doesn't let your head go back farther. You know what I'm saying, but it doesn't help you not put your head down, which I think is the like the main.

Speaker 2:

So the only players I see that wear Necrols or full backs and linebackers.

Speaker 4:

Centers, centers. You'll see, every once in a while They'll wear?

Speaker 3:

really no one wears them anymore.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's so immobile, right, yeah. Yeah, I know they used to be pretty cool and also I don't think they look cool.

Speaker 5:

Oh no, if you see a guy with a.

Speaker 3:

Necrol, you're like that guy's bad.

Speaker 5:

There is no Neil. But yeah, yeah, but like not anymore. Like kids don't think those look cool.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, maybe not, but kids also don't know what's bad to the bone anymore either.

Speaker 4:

Like you, show me a neckie and that guy's one bad dude.

Speaker 5:

Neckie.

Speaker 4:

Stupid.

Speaker 5:

I don't know if that's the proper term for a neck Dude. Necrols are sick.

Speaker 3:

They used to be cool, I used to rep one. They were tight. Okay, necrols were tight.

Speaker 5:

I'm saying that they're not popular anymore because people don't think they're cool.

Speaker 3:

No, I don't think they work as good as people think they do either, though.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, they're not easy to play in. And also, let's be honest, no one like cares what the fullbacks wearing them, the linebackers.

Speaker 3:

I know everyone cares what Jamar Jason and Jefferson are wearing. Yeah, wide receivers never wore neck rolls. If you're wearing a wide receiver, wearing a neck roll wide receiver, yeah, that's a whole, nother problem. But I always thought neck rolls looked really cool and the ones that stick out, you know, like the washboard ones, not the ones that like not the one, yeah, yeah, not the, not the like the cowboy colors, yeah the old McDavid, you know yeah. So, phil, what are you taking right here?

Speaker 4:

Here's the thing that I wish that I could have said If we. I know obviously we're not saying helmets, but I think that face masks are a really big, are a really big deal.

Speaker 2:

I think you can say that.

Speaker 3:

It's on a helmet. Yeah, what kind of face mask are you saying here?

Speaker 2:

You're talking like the aggressive look.

Speaker 3:

You can't just say like cool face mask, and not tell us what it is. I don't think you can like, like.

Speaker 4:

Lorenzo Neil had like the bullhorn. Not the bullhorn, but like the circle.

Speaker 3:

Go full, full cage.

Speaker 4:

Full cage, Like some of those guys had like. Do you remember when the Revos came out?

Speaker 3:

Like everyone wanted to wear their Revos. Revos were so sweet.

Speaker 4:

I thought of you. Actually, they said the people who wear those helmets with the extra pads got less concussions and I was like this would be a different trend.

Speaker 3:

I think if two guys wore them which I've noticed is like those padded helmets, I think, if you both wore them, I think you might have neck problems.

Speaker 4:

Oh, because of how much you don't slide.

Speaker 3:

I think only one team should be able to wear them or something, but yeah, I don't think you understand this science. Phil's talking about something like this? Yeah, no, but you were talking about the concussions with the padding over.

Speaker 4:

No, no, no, yeah, yeah. Yeah. I mean, we switched gears there, but yeah, the next thing that I was going to say is I'm going to go with, I'm going to stick in the same vein that I'm already thinking of. I'm thinking of, I'm going with a, can I? I don't know if I can go with this, but it's like a, it's a celebratory chain hammer slot machine. Turnover chain, Turnover chain, touchdown chain like.

Speaker 3:

Just pick one, yeah, just pick one. Just pick one, say turnover chain.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, let's call it turnover chain Turnover chain school Turnover chain, or like the hammer, like you could do the hammer like those things are sweet, like. I love those, like when they come out when they get up with it. Props, that's. That's what you should just say. Props in general, Like okay.

Speaker 5:

I think I'm still live for what I want to take. Yeah you are so wait turnover chain, he stole it.

Speaker 3:

But if he says, props, you're still alive, I'll wait till we get there, you know but this is different.

Speaker 5:

You can tell me it's just it's hard, cause he took like something that's in a gray area. So All right, let's hear it, jordan.

Speaker 3:

No, no, no. Secondly, I'm. Phil Okay.

Speaker 4:

Second round Jordan took turf tape, seth took arm sleeves, trent took neck rolls and Phil chose turnover chain props. So like scoring. Side line props Side line props is what?

Speaker 1:

I chose Side line props. He's speeding that to us cause he wants something else yeah.

Speaker 4:

He's going to say like mascot, it's like, I'm sorry you did that all throughout college.

Speaker 5:

We're not going to give it to you Cheerleaders. I don't know why. I'm sorry you did that.

Speaker 4:

Cheerleaders, Trent trying to get a scholarship to brother of state for cheer.

Speaker 3:

That's cause you took the last spot in the color guard. Anyways.

Speaker 1:

Hahaha, boo, that was good, hahaha Hahaha.

Speaker 3:

Hey, go check this whole show out on. YouTube at TFF dudes, give us a like, give us a subscribe Really helps us out, guys. Go check that out and remember, don't be rude. Shared the dudes. Speaker 5:

I'm going to go jewelry.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I would say that's a different vein. Yeah, it's different jewelry.

Speaker 5:

Players who wear with like.

Speaker 4:

Like.

Speaker 5:

DK Metcalf's earrings yes, the earrings are like. I feel like Kamara wears necklaces sometimes.

Speaker 3:

Nose rings no.

Speaker 5:

Yep, all the jewelry. I feel like the watch is kind of coming to play with that too, yeah.

Speaker 4:

No, O'Dell would wear that. Remember he wore that blinged out, watch.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, like just jewelry. Like I know it's. Like you can't be. Like when on the sidelines just the big fat like necklace is pretty sweet. Like I don't know it's not my size, I wouldn't wear it. But like I don't know it's for the drip.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, it's for the drip.

Speaker 5:

It's for the drip.

Speaker 3:

Like a cross.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, cool, big cross, be sweet Cross. It's all blinged out.

Speaker 4:

Well, justin Jefferson does he wear a watch too. Does Justin Jefferson wear a watch too?

Speaker 2:

I don't know if he wears a watch. He just wears necklaces. Right, he wears a girl. He wears a girl, Phil.

Speaker 4:

He does wear a girl, let's go.

Speaker 2:

He wears an arm sleeve.

Speaker 4:

He's got an arm sleeve. He doesn't have a uh uh.

Speaker 2:

I don't think he wears visors.

Speaker 4:

Yeah.

Speaker 5:

It's funny because, like football, baseball, those players wear more jewelry than he which also makes it Baseball more.

Speaker 2:

I think, yeah, baseball, yeah the necklaces can really show in baseball.

Speaker 5:

But it makes sense why? Because you can't really, it's not going to. You can't like grab it, it's not. You're not grabbing it's not affecting anything.

Speaker 2:

It's not affecting anything.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, we're like soccer basketball you can't wear jewelry for obvious reasons. Yeah.

Speaker 3:

Seth, what are you going with right here? Are you going to go with? Stick them no.

Speaker 2:

I no.

Speaker 3:

I think I'm playing with somebody with stick. I'm like did he say he caught the?

Speaker 4:

pass to the back of his hand. Did he say he caught the pass to the back of his hand?

Speaker 3:

It is forearm.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, yeah, it's forearm.

Speaker 2:

I'm going to say, think of Jamal Adams here, sweat bands.

Speaker 3:

OK, that's a good one. Sweat bands that's where I was kind of.

Speaker 4:

Or like the headbands, the headband sweat bands.

Speaker 3:

No, like arm sweat bands. Arm sweat bands all right.

Speaker 2:

So you're wearing arm sleeves and sweat bands. I wore sweat bands a lot when I played.

Speaker 5:

Well, I think we're arm sleeves. I just wore sweat. You could do one for like arm sleeve.

Speaker 4:

Arm sleeve on one arm and then sweat band on the other. Yeah, and they go multiples and they do the skinny ones like on the bicep.

Speaker 2:

The thing is I like sweat bands, so I have a lot. Do you like use them for sweat or just drip?

Speaker 3:

Both when I watched Phil playing.

Speaker 4:

Junior.

Speaker 3:

College. When I watched Phil play Junior College, he wore the quarterback arm, sleeve the play band and I was like Phil, you aren't quarterback and he's like no, it looks cool.

Speaker 4:

There was a time when I was injured and I had to do a play. I had to do the defensive play calls. That was probably pretty fun. It actually was yeah.

Speaker 3:

I totally made that story up, but I'm glad you had it. No sweat bands, it's OK. I think that's the right spot for sweat bands to go.

Speaker 2:

I think a lot of players wear them.

Speaker 5:

Like Jamal Adams, he wears like three on each arm.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, no you know, which I think is ridiculous wearing three on each arm.

Speaker 4:

El Pres.

Speaker 2:

I'd probably go one in one.

Speaker 4:

President Mal, stop. Is it President Mal or President Mal? I don't know.

Speaker 3:

I just thought it was just the Pres. All right, I'm up here, I'm going with the battle mouthpiece.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, guys, really like those, the binky mouthpiece they have the binky, they have the, I don't like that. That's a good the cross they got the danger.

Speaker 3:

beware, dog. There's all kinds of those battle mouthpieces, though, and it can be binky or whatever.

Speaker 2:

I don't like that. I don't love the binky. I think they're ridiculous.

Speaker 3:

I really liked as a kid, I liked Marshall Falk's mouthpiece. He was like one of the first guys that had it right. One of the first ones I noticed, but it wasn't like His was more of like the original, like I don't even think people wear those anymore. They all just were the battle ones. And then there's the one that when you breathe, it has the spinner wheel on there, have you?

Speaker 4:

seen those. Those are so dumb. It has the propeller. That's so cool. They're stupid.

Speaker 3:

Are you looking at Marshall Falk Jordan? No, I will. The Marshall Falk one. Those were kind of old school and a couple guys wore those when I was in high school. Not a ton, but I don't know if I would like. I didn't like wearing a mouthpiece in general, but I don't think I'd like feeling something around my lips.

Speaker 2:

You didn't like a mouthpiece. No, no, he said I did. I feel like I would bite my tongue off. I didn't wear one.

Speaker 3:

I didn't bother me, but like I don't think I'd want something over your lips, you know.

Speaker 2:

No, I'm not saying like that. I think I'm like more.

Speaker 4:

No, I had it and you would get like you'd have like a ring. It was nasty. That's why I got rid of it, like in my in eighth grade, like my senior season of Pop Warner that's what we call it around here like the seniors. Yeah, you, I had one of those and it and it was just so like so damp. Those things were nasty.

Speaker 3:

Well, I'm doing the battle. Mouthpieces because I think they look cool. But you remember when we were in high school.

Speaker 4:

It might have been different for you, seth, but when we were in high school we had to have mouthpieces that connected to. They had to connect they had to connect to our face mask to prove that we Wore them.

Speaker 2:

that was so dumb, yeah, so yeah, and the only rule was you couldn't wear white or clear. When I was there and Our our local dentist, who, phil, actually lives down the street, from which why he claims to know so much, let's go. Um, he made them for the football team, so the whole team would come in and you could get a mouthpiece. We fit really well, like I could felt, like I was not wearing one.

Speaker 3:

See they were different.

Speaker 5:

They're really nice because they were the like you just have. The Medical grade is awesome the one that you bought from the store and then like boiled it and put yeah, but yeah, we lost your taste buds for like two weeks, yeah, and what are the?

Speaker 2:

they may have one specially made for braces to. Yeah, well see, I had braces I didn't have I didn't wear the braces one because I hated it.

Speaker 3:

It was the devil.

Speaker 4:

Oh, those are so bad reading hole about that small.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, it was so terrible.

Speaker 4:

I like, why, like even the 2000s, like we were doing, like we were doing like major, like Organ transplants, at that point, like why do we don't, we can't put up, put up, put our minds together to have a better mouthpiece?

Speaker 5:

Oh yeah, no, the stuff they play with organ transplants and mouthpieces are very equivalent.

Speaker 3:

I don't know if you know this Transplants a lot easier than an organ. I'm just saying.

Speaker 4:

I'm just saying technology right, like come on, we could add it some some better stuff there. We can't play could have and like yeah.

Speaker 3:

Like tailpads. You know I'm saying like we. You know I wasn't gonna be Phil's, phil's pick right now.

Speaker 5:

We had a great pick our quarterback.

Speaker 3:

You know, one time wasn't wearing a tail pad and the ref said, hey, you aren't wearing a tail pad. And he said yes, I am. And the ref said, no, you aren't. He said yes, I am.

Speaker 1:

The ref said Okay, I guess you are that's so weird.

Speaker 4:

That's super weird, all right, well, I'm up here.

Speaker 3:

Last one of the other thing I kind of like he didn't check Phil, he just like agreed with him. Finally, after asking him twice, Well, you don't yeah like what are you gonna do, that yeah?

Speaker 4:

you maybe ask the coach. Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3:

I don't know, that's super weird guys getting trouble all the time now for not having their knee pads low enough. They have to like leave the game to pull their knee pads down.

Speaker 4:

Here's what I think. If you are, if you want to do that and your parents are okay with it, then you should be allowed to do it.

Speaker 3:

Hey, you're probably right. I think so. Like the NFL, those guys used to not have to be like Frank Gore. Did he not wear any leg pads?

Speaker 2:

No, they don't in the NFL, those guys? No, I think they think they have to know. I think I don't.

Speaker 4:

I think that's a lot of rule from Justin Jefferson. There's no way his knee, his pants go above.

Speaker 3:

I think you just wear short ones, but like when we were kids, like Frank Gore didn't wear like any leg pads. They made like a rule not too long ago. I think that they have to, really I think. So, speaking of rules, teddy Bridgewater having wear number 50. Oh that was crazy. They don't have any numbers available Between 1 and 19 that aren't retired zero main use. Yeah, zero, 19 that aren't being used or retired. Yeah, so you know what I think's gonna happen with this. I'm sure a number will open up after cuts, but I think they're gonna have to say like, hey, we can't do number one on middle line backer.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, I think they're gonna have to change your hero. I absolutely hate.

Speaker 3:

Hey, so what do you take your number zero? I'm going to the draft.

Speaker 4:

No, I'm gonna pick man. This is such a hard pick because I feel like all the good ones are kind of out in front of me.

Speaker 3:

The only nasal bands. I.

Speaker 4:

Considered that the only thing that I would say here that I think is, is like the how do they do? Like the multiple socks?

Speaker 3:

I do socks here.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, you know how they do, like the multiple socks where it's like double socks. You know what I'm talking about.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, they were like I've seen in college where those guys were like five socks. They like cut them, yeah, and it looks like they're wearing five so it looks.

Speaker 4:

They'll wear like multiple socks. That's the only thing I can think of here. Like I think we've covered everything.

Speaker 2:

And your computer's dead like computers, dead one thing you could you, one thing I think you also could say is, like the, the hand finger tape. Oh, it's not that I considered.

Speaker 4:

I considered finger tape. I was.

Speaker 3:

I did that one game and I really like you're really going with socks here.

Speaker 4:

I oh my, my Wi-Fi is out also, trent. Come on, man, you need to talk to your provider or pay your bill. Man, I'm sick of not being able to connect.

Speaker 3:

Like you really like, out of all the years you've played football, all the craziest things you've seen playing junior college football, the best thing you can come back right here is socks, I am going to go I think we have to let him keep this thing. But yeah, socks is the best thing you have. I, like my two-year-old probably would say socks, you know like.

Speaker 4:

I think people, I think you're, I think you're.

Speaker 2:

Here's what I will say a lot of guys are wearing like leg sleeves now. They're not even so.

Speaker 4:

That would be cool ankle that's what I'm going with those stuff like set. It's like, it's almost like a look at this You're wearing like leg, let me see Let me see you set.

Speaker 2:

They don't connect at the bottom, they're yeah, my grandma wears those. What are those called? No, a lot of people wear these Trent. Like, what are those?

Speaker 3:

called. When they wear them, though, there's a term for him. Yeah, okay all leggings.

Speaker 5:

Can we make a?

Speaker 1:

pig fill, yeah, double sock boy over here.

Speaker 3:

It's like his computers on. He sat here the whole time talking. Didn't think to think of something better than socks. That's like something you get for Easter.

Speaker 4:

Can I say skull caps, yes, skull caps, skull caps Just for. And when you do it, please do like the American flag, like are you saying bandanas or like the under? Arm. They all fall in the same.

Speaker 3:

They all fall in the same day a skull caps, you might get something. You could okay stuff we missed. You could have said like a you know we're in high school, I could be in an under armor undershirt. That was a big deal.

Speaker 4:

Oh, totally. So I was gonna say pregame drip, but I feel like you can't do that.

Speaker 3:

I can't.

Speaker 4:

you should have said like Jersey on game day or something I don't know, no, no, no like how those guys walk in and like full on custom suits, but I don't think that that I think that's stretching it.

Speaker 3:

So skull caps and socks for your defaults. Is there anything we missed up there?

Speaker 2:

I'm Newton, more, more shin pads.

Speaker 3:

Shin pads. Okay, what about Backpads? Those backpacks, backpacks fill, should have took back protectors rip protectors are cool.

Speaker 2:

Really, I think they look dumb for QB's.

Speaker 3:

I think I'd wear one of us a QB.

Speaker 4:

That's about it um, pads like the, the, your, your, the pads that you wear, shoulder pads, yeah, I never realized. Like it defensive linemen Did you have? Like? Were you wearing like wide receiver pads, trent, when you play?

Speaker 3:

I always would try to find the smallest pads possible. But like yeah, I wore pretty small pads. I would go in there and like find these smallest pads the ones you could find.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3:

I quarters in. Like the 80s they everybody wore like huge, massive. Yeah, I was watching a video on Instagram and it was like quarterback coach talking about ways to throw better and he says he was like telling kids like take the pads out from underneath your shoulder on your right, on your throwing hand, so that you get more arm motion in your pads. So like the pads underneath your right shoulder.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, you're saying, remove those and that's probably not a bad movie, yeah so what I got here.

Speaker 3:

I'll recap the whole draft Jordan had gloves, turf tape, jewelry, seth had visor, arm sleeves, sweat bands and Phil had grill or I had eye black, neck rolls, battle mouthpiece. Phil had grill, sideline props and skull caps. Nice, yeah, I think that about does it. I think I had the wrong camera on for a little bit too much. I might just been me and Phil for a while bit there at the end.

Speaker 1:

Probably see your views increase.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, probably like yeah, way more thumbs ups.

Speaker 4:

Anyways.

Speaker 3:

I think that kind of does it guys. Remember, don't be hard eyes dudes, we will see you next time and, as always, take care.
