Speaker 1:

This is the fantasy football dudes podcast. What?

Speaker 2:

is up. dudes, this is Trent. I am joined by Phil, jordan and Seth. We got another draft coming for you here. So today's draft, we are going to have a movie dad's draft, our favorite dads from movies. This is coming out just right after Father's Day, so we're going to have three. We're going to have three rounds of a dads draft, just on movies, phil, anything you want to say. Well, i put these draft results to figure out the draft order from last week.

Speaker 3:

Are you asking me because I'm like the longest term dad on this pond?

Speaker 2:

You're the longest term dad Also the worst, longest tenured, the worst.

Speaker 4:

Longest tenured, but the worst Yes.

Speaker 3:

Actually, you know what That's. I don't think that's even debated. It's probably.

Speaker 4:

It's probably like Wait, what is the story you told us the other day when your daughter stood up at the table?

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, That probably can't be said.

Speaker 3:

No, no, no, no, yeah, we can say it. So my my second oldest daughter is having a rough day and she's just like she's. So I have, so I have. I have four daughters, which I think we've mentioned, but my second oldest- is a girl.

Speaker 4:

dad pond, this is a dad pod.

Speaker 3:

So my second oldest daughter is having a rough time. Everyone's making her mad. She's frustrated in. My oldest daughter is trying to help her out. She's just like it's OK, like it's totally fine, don't worry about it, like hey, everything's going to be all right. And then she's just trying to, you know, gas her up. Like hey, it's OK, like you're doing awesome, like just you know whatever. And then my second goes you know what? The other thing that makes me mad is. We never do anything fun in this house. And then my oldest daughter is like actually, that part is true, i know. I just look at my wife. I'm like what You're?

Speaker 4:

like what We're fine.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, i was like what are you talking about? She's like it's true, we never do anything fun around here. I'm just like, oh man, i mean you have to know these girls. But yeah, it is a. It's a rough time, you know. They just turn on me, you know, and I'm and they stick together. They stick together. I'm significantly outgunned.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, that's true.

Speaker 2:

All right. So recapping our breakup songs draft, we had Caleb from Beware Bulldogs on that draft We had just in the order here Team Caleb took gives you hell with one on one, and then he did Somebody to Love and Dreams by Fleetwood Mac team two, which was Phil. He had more than memory, someone like you and Landlock Blues Shocker. Phil did not make the draft board. We did not put him on there. I feel like everyone you're only allowed to do four options on.

Speaker 3:

Twitter, i probably would have won. You would not have won The comments, everyone loved it, loved it in the comments. We had a guy who said he would have chose me, but then Landlock Blues threw him off.

Speaker 2:

Yes, yes, yes. So there's a lot of hate for Landlock Blues Team four was myself and had picture to burn.

Speaker 3:

We have a guy here who's who's going to have a wedding. Have you heard that song?

Speaker 5:

Never OK.

Speaker 2:

Team three was unanswered prayers by Garth Brooks apologize in bleeding love. Team four was pictured to burn before he cheats and rolling in the deep. Team five was since you've been gone, heartless and somebody that I used to know. Our winner was team five, with 43 percent of the votes. He had a good draft, jordan had 19 percent of the votes and I had 24 percent of the votes, and then Caleb 14 percent.

Speaker 3:

votes What?

Speaker 2:

did it look like on IG? Did you do one? I didn't save it. That's the problem.

Speaker 4:

I have to have to hit that save, but I don't think I think my heartless pick really got me. Yeah, i think that was a really good one because that was the only like like hip hop one I got. I think that was the only hip hop break up song, right.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, i think that was the only one. I helped you. So, All right, so draft order is going to be Seth Me, jordan, phil, so I didn't make the draft board filled. The good thing is there's only four of us, so you will make the draft board this time. So.

Speaker 3:

So I'm going last. Yeah, just I feel like I should get to go second, since I didn't get to.

Speaker 2:

No. So here's the. Unless Seth wants to take a different pick. I don't know. We did some movies that I just asked on Twitter. You know what are some movies, some best movie dads. One guy said this. I don't know who that is, i don't either. Ok.

Speaker 3:

Put some hot sauce on my burrito baby.

Speaker 2:

Ha dinner Trace. Underscore. J40 said Goofy, and then Jack Mamba said Homer Simpson. There was some other stuff on Instagram also. There was one guy said Kevin Carstner in the Superman movie, that was Zach. And then just a lot of stuff like that. So, seth, you go first. You have the draft board here. We got our dad draft. So what are you taking 101 here, seth?

Speaker 4:

I'm taking Liam Neeson and Taken.

Speaker 3:

Oh, that is such a good gift. I mean a good pick.

Speaker 4:

I mean can? you think of that, as the ultimate dad, your daughter gets taken and you go to the absolute ends of the world to find her and you kill everybody. Yeah, that is so cool. Here's the thing. That's the exact thing I would want to do if that happened to my daughter. Yeah, i think you're right. I think you're right, i think. But also it's like that's a little different pick than what you'd maybe pick of like a funny dad in a movie, you know, like, but that's just more like a. I think every dad could have that feeling.

Speaker 2:

The only problem with Taken was it was a great movie, I loved it. What's it when he says I know who you are, I'm going to find you.

Speaker 4:

No he said I don't know who you are, but I will find you and I will kill you.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, the thing is is how do they have a taken to? They had three, they had a three. I think there's three great movie.

Speaker 4:

Liam Neeson always plays the same character in a lot of movies, which kind of hurts it. But like the, when Taken first came out and I remember watching him the first time I was like man that was the first taken was so good. It was a great movie.

Speaker 2:

Absolutely. I love Taken.

Speaker 4:

I'm also a big Liam Neeson fan, so are you just because of Narnia?

Speaker 2:

or what In Star Wars? I forget?

Speaker 3:

I forget he's in Narnia.

Speaker 2:

You forgot that? How can you forget that He's?

Speaker 3:

aslinville, i know, i didn't think that's where you.

Speaker 4:

His voice is iconic. Yes, yes, i was surprised that's the first movie you brought up about him.

Speaker 2:

That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 4:

Other than what you talked about.

Speaker 2:

How could that not be the first movie you bring up?

Speaker 4:

So I think I'm a little bit different here with my pick. I kind of went more like on the like, because that's not a comedy And usually you think of like best I don't know best movie dads. I was thinking the first thing in my head was more like a funny dad or something like that.

Speaker 3:

That's what I'm thinking, that's mine, that's my roster right now.

Speaker 4:

So I think that'll set me apart a little bit. So who is up next?

Speaker 2:

Because we're I'm up next, so you're taking a little time.

Speaker 3:

I'm struggling here I'm going to put you on the shot clock.

Speaker 2:

Jordan, do you know who you want?

Speaker 5:

I do know who I want, so hurry up.

Speaker 2:

Okay, I'm going to go with Steve Martin and Father of the Bride.

Speaker 3:

I think that's a good one. Oh, I print You. look at my screen, didn't?

Speaker 2:

you? No, I don't, Phil. I have a million things going on during these parts.

Speaker 3:

I'm watching you.

Speaker 2:

I'm watching you, I know but like I have to type everybody's names in here, What's his name?

Speaker 3:

If you like him so much, what's his name on the? What's his name?

Speaker 2:

His name is Lucky Day.

Speaker 3:

No, that's that I can't remember his name. That's embarrassing. I do like Steve Martin a lot, though.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, his name is Fronk.

Speaker 3:

No.

Speaker 2:

What is his name?

Speaker 3:

George.

Speaker 2:

Banks. George Banks. Yes, they placed basketball in the front yard with his daughter.

Speaker 3:

That is such, that is such a good movie.

Speaker 2:

It's a good movie. I think that's maybe a little bit early there.

Speaker 5:

I don't know if I've seen the. You would like it. It's a rom-com.

Speaker 3:

It's a rom-com. You would like it, it's a calm.

Speaker 4:

He doesn't like comedy.

Speaker 3:

But I think he likes rom-coms, right Jordan.

Speaker 5:

Oh, I actually think I may have seen this You probably have.

Speaker 2:

It's an iconic movie. It's a good movie. I may be a little early there with that one. The fact that I stole Phil's pick doesn't make me feel good, i think. I won her here, so I'm going with that one. What do you? what do you? got here, jordan.

Speaker 5:

I got Chris Gardner played by Will Smith Pursuit of Happiness.

Speaker 2:

That's a good one.

Speaker 4:

That was the picture I remember watching that movie in school and, like kind of being that movie made me sad.

Speaker 5:

No, he's, he is like. He literally sacrifices his whole life and goes like the things he does for his son. I mean, the wife leaves, leaves the kid with him and single dad basically on their homeless on the streets, like yeah, it's, it's, it's, it's a really good movie. I think he's a great dad.

Speaker 2:

Here's the problem with that movie is I've seen it a lot right, But I've never seen the ending. I only watched it at school. Oh, so you watched it during that period?

Speaker 3:

No, I know, but like they bring it in.

Speaker 2:

So I've always seen it, like you know. Hour and a half.

Speaker 5:

That would shut off, i don't know the ending.

Speaker 2:

I need to just sit down and watch it sometime.

Speaker 5:

It's a good ending for what it's worth.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, but I've seen the Rubik's Cube part was cool.

Speaker 2:

The problem is I've seen it so many times up to that one part. I just need to watch the last you know.

Speaker 5:

20 minutes to call it good.

Speaker 2:

So yeah, that.

Speaker 5:

I think it's also one of Will Smith's like he's done some awesome stuff, but I think it's one of his. you think that's one of his better ones. I think it's different for him is like a different role for him too. right, like, yeah, action, it's not like he can do So many different things. He's so good.

Speaker 2:

I agree. So so, seth, what do you? what do you got here?

Speaker 5:

I already picked Phil, it's me.

Speaker 2:

We already went this way, let me let me recap this No, i haven't, I haven't, i haven't.

Speaker 3:

Oh, phil hasn't picked. I mean, dude, you are Man.

Speaker 2:

I would love it if you took the notes, Phil, on this draft It would be a much more well-ran show, and you should do that, then you should do it, but your money where your mouth is.

Speaker 3:

I am going with. I think I got a sleeper here, but I probably I'm worried that if I take it too early, all right. I'm going to take. All right, I think I can get this guy later. I'm gonna take Marlin from Finding Nemo.

Speaker 2:

That is not bad, and that is it. That is. That's pretty good. I was not. That's the name.

Speaker 5:

Look at the one who swims all over finding Nemo. They're fish. Yeah, the dad is the one who swims to find him.

Speaker 3:

Yes, he said he goes on a whirlwind. You know I don't have kids. I don't watch finding Nemo every day, so finding Nemo came out when you were a kid.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, but you probably watched it five times last time I was one of the movies that I don't like.

Speaker 3:

My favorite Disney movie is Ratatouille Easily my solid salt.

Speaker 2:

It's okay.

Speaker 3:

Like I've seen it a couple times, finding Nemo came out in 2003, jordan.

Speaker 5:

How many times have you watched it in 2003? Probably only three times. Oh That, no, that is this.

Speaker 2:

That is a sneaky dad pick right there finding Nemo like what he does to get there.

Speaker 3:

Like he does his best to get his son back. You know what I'm saying, oh yeah absolutely, Absolutely absolutely.

Speaker 5:

Is that like the cartoon version of taken?

Speaker 3:

Man did that come out after? not it bait? there's some parallels. Yeah, it's in the same similar story line in the same way that, in the same way that I am, legend is a dog movie. This is some, has some similarities to you. Want to recap this trend?

Speaker 2:

So yeah, so the first round recap Seth took taken. I took father of the bride, george Banks. What's Liam Nelson's name in that movie? Neeson is his name.

Speaker 5:

I don't know.

Speaker 2:

Yeah well, Phil gave me a hard time for not knowing the guy's name. That's what I'm doing.

Speaker 3:

I was just mad because you're right.

Speaker 2:

Jordan took Chris Gardner, pursuit of happiness, phil took Marlin in finding Nemo, and Today's draft is brought to you by Manscape. The modern man is a man who takes care of himself. Manscape isn't just for life special occasions. It's a requirement for optimal health, superior hygiene and healthy self-esteem. You now have the right tools for a safe and precise grooming and hard to navigate areas. Hopefully you listen to our advice. Went to Manscape, entered dudes 20 for 20% off your order. So, phil, here you go. You're up here on the board. What do you take?

Speaker 3:

Oh, we're doing snake, i'm sorry.

Speaker 2:

I am messed up. Who won this draft? Seth won the last draft sets up.

Speaker 4:

Okay, i'm gonna go with one of Robin Williams best performances, mrs Doubtfire.

Speaker 2:

Okay, okay, that's. That's a solid one. I've seen that one once. It's okay. It's hilarious Yeah he does it, he does a good job.

Speaker 4:

It's funny.

Speaker 3:

I've not seen it the guy doesn't have.

Speaker 4:

He doesn't get enough time with his children because his ex-wife doesn't want them to be with him as Much and so he or he so he pretends to be a babysitter. So when his wife has to work, he goes to the his ex-wife's house and babysits his kids. Gotcha, he's the cleaner Mm-hmm. Anyways and he so. Anyways, his kids don't like him in that relationship He forms with them. Pretended to be a woman is.

Speaker 5:

Isn't there a Martin Lawrence one that's very similar to that? Yeah, I'm a big mama's big mama's house.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, Yeah that one's so good. Yeah, it's so good. That's a good movie.

Speaker 4:

So yeah, Mrs Doubtfire Robin Williams His name is Daniel Hilliard in the movie or Mrs Doubtfire.

Speaker 2:

Man, i have a, I have a couple here. I'm gonna go with Indiana Jones the last crusade. His dad hangs out with him on that one. He goes, he's his gunner. He ends up shooting the tail off the plane, all that stuff. He calls him junior the whole time. I'm a big Indiana Jones fan. I'm not sure about this remake They're making. I don't know if I'll watch or not.

Speaker 4:

I'm going to the original trilogy is great.

Speaker 2:

I'm a big Harrison Ford guy, so I'm sure I will see it. Who is the who's? who's place, his character, it's the Indiana Jones, it's gonna be Harrison Ford. Oh, he's, he's still, he's still it. Yeah, so they're bringing him back. makes me automatically out, like you, don't like Harrison Ford.

Speaker 3:

He's good, but I think it'd be cool to have like another character come in. Maybe his son Indiana Jones I know, i know maybe like Indy junior, you know something like that I.

Speaker 2:

Don't know. I think they kind of tried that with the one with aliens, the last one. But yeah, this is a no. Yeah this is a no, last crusade. It's my favorite. What's your favorite Indiana Jones, seth? What was that? What's your favorite, indiana Jones? I?

Speaker 4:

Think I like the original one the best really I like the first one too. I don't know. I think the first time I watched it I was just like this is really cool.

Speaker 2:

I think the original one is just I think I like all the horseback riding. They're killing Nazis, all that stuff like the last crusades. Really good. It's name is Henry Walton Jones, senior and the place dr Jones's dad.

Speaker 4:

Hank. Well, the first one is the Was the first one. It's with the arc of the covenant, right? Yeah, i like that one because I'm a big fan like the world war two era. I'm a big history guy so I kind of like I like the Indiana Jones movies because of the history.

Speaker 2:

Okay, all right. Who's up next here, since you guys know the draft order better than I?

Speaker 5:

do. It is me. How many go off the board here. This is not my Dislike of comedy movies, as well documented, but this guy's pretty funny. He's Know what. No 11 scene from American pie American pie series. I've never seen him.

Speaker 2:

I haven't seen him.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, I know it's a little off the board, but I Mean you might get some Twitter, but I know, i mean. The actor is Eugene Levy. Have you guys know what I'm talking about, though, right? No, i know. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, you know I For the sake of the, the family pot, i can't always speak to all his moments in the movies, but he has some pretty, pretty, pretty funny moment, pretty pretty moments in those movies.

Speaker 3:

I'm gonna do it. I mean, hey here, live your treat Jordan. Yeah, i guess what they say, you know.

Speaker 5:

I knew this little little touchy subject here. You know a little slippery slope with mr Levin Stein, but well mine's kind of batting cleanup. Order to that one, Okay so, but I knew the Twitter, twitter people would love the Twitter people are gonna love it.

Speaker 3:

I think the Twitter people are gonna love mine. I think this one actually might win it. I hope, if we have anybody out there who's smart, it's my turn. Right, i'm up.

Speaker 2:

Yeah To you. No, i just went okay. So it's a that it's me who did Seth take again, i'm sorry. Mrs Doubtfire okay that I think Seth's gonna win off of those two picks.

Speaker 4:

I am especially my third. One's gonna kill it.

Speaker 2:

Just wait for this.

Speaker 3:

Okay, what do you got, phil I? I almost want a drum roll for this. I hope I don't. I hope I. Thank you, clark Griswold. He wants his family to have a fun, a fun Christmas right, and he will go to great lengths to make sure his family has a good cut-down tree, to make sure they have a Well at home, to make sure everyone in his household is that such a good movie. It's such a good movie. I haven't seen any of the other ones, but that one is like.

Speaker 4:

That one is so good and he's just you have to watch that every Christmas season. Yeah, for sure, absolutely.

Speaker 3:

It is a good movie. Clark Griswold, the guy crud, he's a great dad. So the problem, i was hoping you'd fall to me.

Speaker 2:

Why didn't you go with it? I thought I could get it, and the problem is. Here's the deal. I take Christmas vacation every year for a Christmas movie thing. I didn't take macaroni and cheese for the barbecue. I I feel lame every draft doing the same things. Do you understand what I'm saying? So, like I can't just like you macaroni and cheese every single time I can't try to try to broaden.

Speaker 3:

There's a lot of other things that would make you feel lame over that. It's like you should have just done it.

Speaker 2:

Sorry, like I people know I like that movie, like it's fine, i feel like that's a good one with you, Clark Griswold.

Speaker 3:

Can I say another one that I doubt will be taken? No, just no no, it's not, it's not, it's not even on your guys. Is real for what it's worth.

Speaker 5:

Clark Griswold is not batting clean up compared to mr Levin scene.

Speaker 3:

He's, it's just as bad. It's no, it's it's worse.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's worse. Never mind the movie American pie is more family appropriate.

Speaker 5:

No, i'm saying no, no, no, he's not batting clean up to for yeah, chevy, chase, chevy.

Speaker 3:

It's cool that two of the three amigos are have made the board.

Speaker 2:

No, that's true. It's true. You got to do that. You got to. Yeah, we're just missing. I don't think that, no.

Speaker 3:

He's in father, the bride, he's Martin.

Speaker 2:

Schwartz never been a dad character? I don't think so. Alright, so recapping that round, we had Mrs Doubtfire, indiana Jones, indiana Jones's dad, noah Livingston from American pie and Clark Griswold. In today's draft, this round is brought to you by Underdog. Underdog is the dudes favorite place to play. Dfs inter promo code dudes, they will match you up to $100. It's just they got rivals, they have Lines you can play against. They got this. Best ball drafts, best ball. It's best ball season. You know, whatever your budget is, underdog is there for you. So you know, maybe you're watching a hockey game, we were watching a baseball game. You want to make it a little more fun? go to underdog and see what plays you can do there. Introduce they'll match you up to $100. Okay, last round, what do you got here, seth.

Speaker 4:

Okay, i'm gonna go With a newer movie here. I'm gonna go with John Krasinski, who plays Lee Abbott in a quiet place.

Speaker 3:

That's a good one set thing.

Speaker 4:

It said he probably sacrifice himself, for his children, so they can make it.

Speaker 3:

Yep, no, that's a good one. I don't even know what that was for, what it's worth, oh.

Speaker 4:

You should have seen it by now. So sacrifice himself, so his wife.

Speaker 5:

Is that the one? is that the one that won all the awards of the Oscars?

Speaker 4:

Yeah, I think so.

Speaker 5:

They don't talk very much.

Speaker 4:

they whisper a lot, they do a lot of sign language. He dies or is death.

Speaker 2:

Yeah basically, if they had a book on that movie, there'd be less reading in the book than what's on that movie.

Speaker 4:

That's how much reading you have to do on that movie.

Speaker 2:

It's true, That's a good point. Like I was like 30 minutes in, I was like you've got to be kidding me.

Speaker 4:

This is a good movie, though, trent.

Speaker 5:

Well, what Trent's like is hard for Trent.

Speaker 3:

He's like can we go back two scenes? I'm not sure where we're at. It's like I know that the monster is chasing them, but I'm not sure if it's friend or foe.

Speaker 4:

Trent blinked and he forgot what happened Basically, so I'm going to go with that one.

Speaker 3:

Seth might win this one, he might go.

Speaker 4:

I'm definitely winning this one But.

Speaker 2:

No, that's good, I'm going to go with. I have one I really want to do, but it's a Western. I don't think Western's going to do good on the draft.

Speaker 3:

I think it actually might perform well. Trent, You think so. Depending on what Western you're talking about and the actor that you're talking about, I think it will perform well.

Speaker 2:

Well, i'm thinking about it, It's John Wayne. It's big Jake, but he's a grandpa, so I think that takes him out, but he's helping his grandson. So I think that disqualifies him, I think, because he's a grandpa in the movie, not?

Speaker 3:

a father. I would think. I would think it is a father figure.

Speaker 5:

Mm, hmm.

Speaker 2:

I don't know. We can do Big Daddy, then You know what I mean.

Speaker 3:

I wanted to. I thought, i thought about putting Big.

Speaker 2:

Daddy in there also. That's why you're trying to to stretch, stretch it. I'm going to go with Mufasa from the Lion King. That's a good one. You know he's there for Simba and actually Zach sent this out to me. Mr Lopes put this on our Instagram and I thought it was a good one. Mufasa saves his. he wants to save his son. What's the promise of everything? Yeah, everything The light touches everything The light touches right there. So Mufasa, that movie, you know that that movie has you crying about 15 minutes in, you know. and then those hyenas are terrifying. Oh yeah, i almost think that's an adult movie, if I'm being completely honest.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, i didn't like it that much as a child, i don't think what scared me, those hyenas were mean. Yeah Well, at least you're not, as we got to give him a shout out, caleb, i think he said his scariest thing you ever watch as Lord of the Rings Like what is going on.

Speaker 2:

Well, what's?

Speaker 3:

scarier. Yeah, exactly, that was so funny. All right, let's go. Who's?

Speaker 2:

next. Alrighty, what do we got here? Jordan is next.

Speaker 5:

I got a look. It's pretty off. It's not off the board, but like I don't know exactly how it fits in like this draft. Yeah, no, i'm going to go.

Speaker 2:

Darth Vader I that was one I had today and I totally had slipped my mind.

Speaker 4:

That's a great one, Darth Vader's a great one, Like yes he wasn't like a great dad, but like at the very end when he came through.

Speaker 5:

He comes through and like just the storyline of it makes him a great dad, a great movie dad, right, because the storyline of his relationship with his son and no, i even the realization in the theater, when people realize that he was his dad.

Speaker 4:

Everyone's like shocked. You know they made it. I don't know. That was a cool part.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, no, i feel like in the third round it's you know I got American Pie character and Darth Vader, like if you would have took Darth Vader earlier than the third.

Speaker 2:

I think it maybe wouldn't have been bad, but where you got him, i think it's perfect.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, i think that's pretty good. When I said, when I said you didn't say it's no, when, yeah, when you said, that didn't come to my brain because maybe because I thought, like Darth Vader was a villain, so maybe that's why it never.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, it's just, it's a weird Yeah.

Speaker 2:

No, I almost. that was one that I actually had on my list of somebody and I forgot it. Like I made a mental list. I have to do a writing list, but I'm worried about people looking at my list, So I just I do worse when I don't make a list. I just need to let Phil just realize he probably hasn't seen the movie anyways. We want to do a movie mom draft for Mother's Day, but we kind of decided against that. So, sorry about that, seth. what are you? Who's up here, phil's?

Speaker 3:

next, what do you got?

Speaker 5:

The draft.

Speaker 3:

So it's the last pick of the draft I'm picking. I'm just going to say him, because I'm one that we missed is the dad from Red Dawn. Yeah, that's a good one.

Speaker 2:

I'm not choosing. I'm not choosing that I'm not choosing. I'm just going to talk. I agree, i agree, I'm like eventually, eventually.

Speaker 3:

You know what? he taught him how to hunt, live off the land Over it. Yeah, exactly That's such a great scene.

Speaker 2:

It's a great first one is way better. The original is better. The original is better. The problem is, is he just didn't have a big enough role? I guess I'm a faucet. I didn't have a big role either, though.

Speaker 3:

No, no, no, He's not my pick, I'm just saying no, i know he's fine, the, the, the, the, the. The picks that I'm struggling with right now are Bob from the Incredibles, my dad from the Incredibles, pretty cool dude superhero. And then I'm also struggling with and this is the one that I'm a little bit worried about I think it could potentially be a landlocked blues pick. Is the road? Did anyone see the road? I'm not helping you with this All right. So I'm going to go with, i'm going to go with Bob from Incredibles. So, mr Incredible Bob Parr.

Speaker 2:

Is that really? his last name is Bob Parr.

Speaker 4:

His name is Parr. Yea, it's a 좋ul. So Bob and Parr.

Speaker 2:

Oh So, phil, with two cartoons here, Two Pixar.

Speaker 4:

Yep, phil is a dad, i'm a dad. Yeah, young children.

Speaker 3:

And you guys got some really good ones in between there. I was gonna say the dad from the road, but have you? you guys haven't seen that. I've read the book and seen that one. It's a Nerd alert. Vigo Morgensen, I think his name is.

Speaker 4:

Vigo. Is that? what is that one?

Speaker 3:

He, it's like a post-apocalyptic.

Speaker 4:

I think I've seen that.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, it's.

Speaker 4:

And it sounds like in that shopping cart. Is that what it is? Yep.

Speaker 2:

Some that we missed is no one took Godfather. Yeah, i feel like that's something that could have been taken, Yeah he's the guy.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, it's V. Yeah, that's the one Seth where he's walking around like a.

Speaker 4:

I wanna say I've seen that and I was like just very weirded out by the movie.

Speaker 3:

That's the. it's the writing style of the author. It's supposed to feel that way, Like it's.

Speaker 4:

It just feels weird.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, that's, yeah, he, that's the way he writes. If you read the book, it's actually a really good book. But yeah, it's a great book.

Speaker 2:

All right, so recapping the whole draft we had. Seth took taken Mrs Doubtfire, quiet Place. I took Father the Bride, george Banks, indiana Jones' dad Mufasa Jordan took Chris Gardner from Pursuit of Happiness, noah Livingston from American Pie and Darth Vader, phil took Marlon from Finding Nemo, hart Griswold and Bob from The Incredibles. Just some stuff we missed here, like Homer Simpson.

Speaker 5:

Someone said Homer, I feel like Homer Simpson's like TV show too. That's a TV show too, yeah.

Speaker 3:

TV show. There's a. There's a Simpsons movie. There is a Simpsons movie, i just think.

Speaker 5:

TV show, though, you know.

Speaker 2:

What else did we kind of miss here?

Speaker 3:

There's a lot of movies That's a little bit like The Dad from Warrior. Oh yeah, it's a good one. The Dad from Warrior, he's not a great dad, he's. He tries to be, he tries to get off the booze, you know a little bit, tries to No, no, he goes clean, and he only. What are you talking about?

Speaker 2:

Warrior when the two brothers fight each other. Yeah, he tries, he goes clean, he goes clean, so you think that would have been a good pick.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, he. And then he brings the brothers together. That's a good, he's a great dad. Oh, he wasn't. He wasn't a great dad and he's working to become a better dad. I think that's the point of him in that movie. And then he starts to like The Other Son, or like they start to get no one said um, no one said The Dad from kicking and screaming.

Speaker 2:

That's not a bad one, he like fires up Will Ferrell.

Speaker 3:

I thought about.

Speaker 2:

Will Ferrell's dad and Elf. That's a good one. I thought about Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jingle All the Way. Why am I only thinking Christmas movies?

Speaker 3:

Peter McAllister left his kids at home. They really come out like the dads come out in Christmas in the Christmas movies. You know what I'm saying. Yeah, i'm trying to think of. There's anything else like there's any any others that I I mean. What is it the cheaper by the dozen? Another Steve Martin movie.

Speaker 2:

That was another one I wanted to go with, but it's like you can't have two Steve Martins on one draft.

Speaker 3:

It's hard I wanted to do. yeah, that's the thing I wanted to go with that one, especially one guy like even you going to Pixar movies.

Speaker 2:

I feel like that hurts you.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I definitely think. So. I mean, you guys had a lot. I don't. I don't know. I don't think my draft could have been better, though You get what I'm saying. Like I, there weren't a lot of options there. We're struggling to come up with other dads here. I was on the back half of the draft, every single time.

Speaker 2:

The problem is is like Terminator.

Speaker 4:

Hold up every. Besides my first pick, all my other picks were open up to you guys.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, no, seth had a great draft. Who was your draft in two?

Speaker 3:

Who was your draft in two Seth?

Speaker 4:

had that, it was Mrs Doubtfire.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, see, i wouldn't have wanted that one.

Speaker 4:

You want to want that one in number one.

Speaker 3:

No.

Speaker 2:

See, that was one that my wife really likes. That movie, i don't really care for it, it's just okay.

Speaker 4:

I think a lot of people like Mrs Doubtfire I do.

Speaker 3:

What about the one with Denzel Washington, where he robs a bank and is going to shoot himself to give his heart to his son? I haven't seen it, have you not seen? do you know which one I'm talking about? Our producer knows What is that movie called. It's a good one, though, right Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Band on Fire. That's not a dad, but that's a good one. Actually, the dad's terrible in Band on Fire, but I think that does it, guys, i think vote for me, baby I really missed a lot here, but anyways, all right, guys, we will see you next time and, as always, take care.
